The Magnificent touch, world and creations.... the glass engraving of Jiří Tesař (Velkolepý dotek, svět a výtvory ....rytí skla Jiří Tesař)

(click on video below)

All images are © to Jiří Tesař and have been used with his kind permission.

I am very honored to have been given permission by such wonderful artist to feature his work and share it with you all. I thank Jiří from the bottom of my heart.

I saw Jiří’s work a few weeks ago and was so taken by it; it made me cry of joy. Seeing the beautiful soft gentle touch he uses to create his pieces was simply an out of this world experience. Reminded me of the softness and beauty used by the renaissance master Caravaggio... Please visit his web site to see some more of his work:

Do any of the readers here know anything about this Glass Engraving Lathe?

A member of the blog bought this glass engraving lathe and all he knows is "it came from Germany. The spindle on it is about 1 1/2" in diameter."

If you have (or think you know anything) about this lathe, post it on the comments and perhaps we can all learn a bit in the process =) Thank you all!

Up-close and personal with the masterful details of Viczan Zoltan

All images are © to Leenah (work by the Viczan Zoltan)

Please pay close attention to the wings, and how the legs of the subject softly touch the leaf where it stands (photos 4 & 5) , as well the the amazing polishing on the second photo. The entire plate was engraved by Viczan and you can see a before and after photo on his web site.

I wanted to make a second post about the artist featured last week, because I own two of his pieces and I wanted to share them with you all.

One of the reasons I love the beautiful work of Viczan is the sweet soft touch done in the pieces he creates. To me; as an artist... it is quiet important that something looks as good up close as it will from far away. I got this beautiful piece from Viczan; and I can tell you that it is even more stunning when seen in person. Here are some beautiful detail photos so you can appreciate it. Please visit his web site, and subscribe to the blog. I have no more words to introduce the spellbinding and orgasmic feast to the eyes given by such wonderful artist....

Please visit Pavlína's website to see more of her work and read how she works and a bit of the techniques she uses.

The magnificent world of Alasdair Gordon…

All images are © to Mr. Alasdair Gordon and I am humbled to have been given permission to use them. Thank you.

With great honor I am pleased to show you the beautiful, detailed and delicate work of Mr. Alasdair Gordon. I came upon Mr. Gordon’s work while doing some research on the internet and my eyes were delighted. I thought Mr. Gordon was engraving poetry with each cut on the beautiful soft and detailed glass. I can only imagine the divinity my eyes will experience to see these items in person. Mr. Gordon has been kind enough to email and allow me to use and share some of his images with you, but to know more about this master copper wheel engraver who is stated on his site “concentrates totally on wheel engraved cameo subjects” as you can see… please visit his website and share the link! This ladies and gentlemen is as good and beautiful as glass engraving gets.
